From August 22 through August 26, Thomas Hampson leads masterclasses as part of the Gstaad Vocal Academy at the Gstaad Menuhin Festival 2026. Masterclasses, individual coaching sessions, and collective reflection come together for an intensive training experience that culminates in a public concert.

This marks Hampson’s first time teaching at the festival, having joined the program as Head and Professor of the Gstaad Vocal Academy this summer at the invitation of Artistic Director Daniel Hope.

Thomas Hampson has an extensive history as a vocal mentor, holding recurring masterclasses and leadership positions at prestigious institutions across Europe and the United States, including the Manhattan School of Music, the Heidelberger Frühling Liedakademie, and the Internationale Opernwerkstatt Waiblingen.

The series concludes with the Academy Concert on August 26 at 7:30pm.
