Thomas Hampson joins the Zürcher Kammerorchester on December 31 and January 1 for a charming and festive program of music by American composers. Hampson is a regular collaborator with the orchestra and its Music Director, Daniel Hope. In 2021, Hampson appeared on Hope, a deeply personal album of beloved music curated by Hope, recorded during lockdown. 

Hampson will join the orchestra for Stephen Foster’s classic Beautiful Dreamer, as well as medlies of works by Harold Arlen and Kurt Weill. The orchestra will also play pieces by Aaron Copland, Leonard Bernstein, Jessie Montgomery, Florence Price, George Gershwin, and others.
