In Concert With the Danish National Radio Symphony Orchestra

On October 23, Thomas Hampson joins the Danish National Radio Symphony Orchestra for an exciting program, celebrating both the orchestra’s 100th anniversary and offering an exciting preview of their new collaboration with Deutsche Grammophon for a complete edition of recordings of Arnold Schönberg’s works.

Led by conductor Fabio Luisi, this program highlights his impactful A Survivor from Warsaw and Ode to Napoleon, two deeply political works that reflect on the horrors of World War II and the Holocaust. Both pieces feature Hampson, who lends his powerful voice to the role of the Narrator.

The concert also features some of the orchestra’s most significant international successes, including Rued Langgaard’s Music of the Spheres, with soprano Louise McClellan Jacobsen acting as soloist, and Langgaard and Hans Abrahamsen’s 3 Pieces from Gitanjali Hymns.
