The 6th International Opera Workshop Waiblingen

From September 13-20, Thomas Hampson will work with students at the International Opera Workshop Waiblingen. Founded by Hampson and soprano Melanie Diener, the International Opera Workshop is aimed at young singers from Germany and abroad, bridging the educational and experiential gap between study and career.

Ten to twelve participants will work publicly for six days with Hampson and Diener, and will give public performances all over the town of Waiblingen, intended to cultivate intercultural exchange and community. The program culminates in a final concert on September 20, featuring Hampson, Diener, and all scholarship holders, with the Württemberg Philharmonic Orchestra Reutlingen under the direction of Ariane Matiakh.
