Internationale Opernwerkstatt Waiblingen
This month, Thomas Hampson returns to the Bürgerzentrum Waiblingen for the fifth session of the Internationale Opernwerkstatt Waiblingen. Co-founded by Hampson and Waiblingen native and renowned soprano Melanie Diener, the program offers singers the chance to work closely with both artists. Participants engage in public master classes, stay with host families from the region, and showcase their talents through small performances in public venues.
The program runs from September 15-21, culminating in a final concert on September 21, which features Diener, Hampson, and all scholarship recipients, together with the Heidelberg Symphony Orchestra under the baton of Salvatore Percacciolo. Learn more about this year’s scholarship holders here.
