This month, Thomas Hampson joins the New York Philharmonic on a momentous Asia tour, led by Music Director Jaap van Zweden. A celebrated interpreter of Mahler’s works, Hampson shares his “profoundly affecting” (AllMusic) interpretation of selections from Mahler’s evocative song cycle, Des Knaben Wunderhorn, in both Guangzhou and Shanghai.

The program offers a captivating blend of symphonic and vocal music, featuring rising composer Nina Shekhar’s new work, Lumina, and the powerful virtuosity of Brahms’s Fourth Symphony.
