‘Address Unknown’ at the Cherry Orchard Festival in NYC

Thomas Hampson joins pianist Evgeny Kissin for the New York premiere of “Address Unknown” at the Cherry Orchard Festival on April 17 at The Town Hall in New York City. Adapted from Kathrine Kressmann Taylor’s banned anti-fascist novel, the play explores a friendship fractured by the rise of Nazism in 1930s Germany.

Following its sold-out London run, this powerful drama depicts the devastating impact of ideology on two friends, Max (Kissin) and Martin (Hampson). Karina Arzumanova joins the cast in this production directed by Marianna Arzumanova.

The performance will be followed by a Q&A with the cast, moderated by Zalmen Mlotek, Artistic Director of National Yiddish Theater-Folksbiene.
