Internationale Opernwerkstatt Waiblingen 2023

Thomas Hampson returns to the Bürgerzentrum Waiblingen for the fourth edition of the Internationale Opernwerkstatt Waiblingen this month. The program, created by Hampson and Melanie Diener, a world-famous soprano from Waiblingen, aims to provide singers with the opportunity to work with both artists on technique, expression, and presentation in mostly public master classes, as well as accommodate the students with host families from the region, and present themselves with small performances in public places.

Running from November 19-25, 10-12 young artists will work publicly with Diener and Hampson for six days and take part in the final concert with the Württembergische Philharmonie Reutlingen under the direction of Vlad Iftinca. The final concert with Diener and Hampson and all scholarship recipients, together with the Württembergische Philharmonie Reutlingen under the direction of Vlad Iftinca, will take place on November 25 in the Ghibelline Hall of the Waiblingen Community Center.
