On May 5, the Staatsoper Hamburg will host “The Art of Thomas Hampson” – a series of solo evenings that focuses on experiencing the vocal artistry of exceptional international opera stars in its purest form, accompanied only by a piano and in the full breadth of their repertoire. With THE ART OF, the Staatsoper Hamburg is continuing a long tradition: Luciano Pavarotti, José Carreras, Grace Bumbry, Montserrat Caballé, and many others have starred in these special solo concerts.
