Thomas Hampson takes his acclaimed “Songs of America” program to the Turku Music Festival on August 28. Joined by pianist Vlad Iftinca, together they will perform songs by Ives, Bonds, Bernstein, Higdon, and others at Turku Concert Hall.

A preeminent champion of American art song, Hampson has previously been praised for his performances of American song, with the Chicago Tribune hailing, “Hampson famously delivers this material with the polished tones one expects of European lieder but also with a distinctly American rhythmic lilt and cadence.”
