Thomas Hampson is a featured artist on this spring’s sold-out concert cruise with the Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra, with an itinerary featuring stops along the Mediterranean coast. Hampson sings Dvořák’s Zigeunermelodien, Op. 55 on a program that also highlights Schubert’s Symphony No. 5 and Schönberg’s Verklärte Nacht, Op. 4, on May 12 at the spectacular Palau de la Música Catalana in Barcelona. Rainer Honeck will lead the Vienna Philharmonic for this performance. Mr. Hampson also presents an on-board recital on May 14 for the cruise attendees, featuring much-loved gems from his vast repertoire of song.
