October performances in Europe

This month, Thomas Hampson is featured in concert and recital at several acclaimed venues throughout Europe. On October 8 he is the featured artist in a Formentor Sunsets Classics Concert in Mallorca, with an evening highlighting works by Mozart, Verdi, Massenet, Lehár, Bernstein, and Porter. He joins the Bamberger Symphoniker and conductor Jonathan Nott on October 10 and 11 to sing Mahler’s Des Knaben Wunderhorn, on a programme that also includes Stravinsky’s Petrushka and a new work by Chaya Czernowin titled Uraufführung einer Zugabe. Hampson then travels to The Brucknerhaus in Linz on October 27 and at Vienna’s Musikverein on November 1 with tenor Klaus Florian Vogt and the Wiener Virtuosen, to perform Mahler’s Das Lied von der Erde.
