Thomas Hampson makes a highly anticipated role debut this month as the shadowy, sinister Four Villains in Offenbach’s Les Contes d’Hoffmann at The Metropolitan Opera. Performances take place January 12, 16, 22, 27 & 31, and February 5, and the January 31 performance will also receive a worldwide Live in HD Broadcast hosted by Deborah Voigt.

This “fantastical production” (The New York Times) will be led by Maestro Yves Abel, and Mr. Hampson is joined by Vittorio Grigolo in the title role, Hibla Gerzmava sings Antonia/Stella, Erin Morley is Olympia, Christine Rice is Giulietta, and Kate Lindsey as Nicklausse.
