Neue Stimmen: The Jubilee Concert – Music To The World! will celebrate the singing competition’s 25th Birthday with this special anniversary concert featuring 12 prize-winners from previous Competitions. The Neue Stimmen Competition was Created in 1987 by Liz Mohn at the suggestion of Herbert von Karajan and August Everding.  The competition that began as the “European Singing Contest” with 36 applicants in its first year has since grown into one of the world’s leading vocal competitions, presently counting 1,422 applicants from 68 countries. Thomas Hampson will serve as the celebrity guest on stage with The Bochum Symphony under the direction of Marcus Bosch. More information on Neue Stimmen here.
