Following this performance, Hampson will make his operatic stage debut at La Scala in the title role of Mozart’s Don Giovanni, one of the signature portrayals in his illustrious career. Mr. Hampson is joined by bass-baritone Luca Pisaroni as Leporello (also in his debut), Anett Fritsch as Donna Elvira, Hanna Elisabeth Müller sings Donna Anna, and Tomasz Konieczny is the Commendatore. Paavo Järvi leads from the pit for all performances, which feature an acclaimed Robert Carsen staging which has not been seen in Milan in over five years. Don’t miss this extraordinary engagement, hosted from May 6 – June 6 at the Teatro alla Scala (tickets here).

Don Giovanni and other masterworks by Mozart are also featured frequently in Mr. Hampson’s discography – browse all titles via his Recordings page.

“… no Don Giovanni in recent decades has brought to the part a more convincing blend of vocal authority, athletic grace and psychological depth.” (The New York Times)
